Policy Updates

Mrs. Angela Marley, Superintendent, shared policy updates driven by recent legislative change and state requirements. These policies will be presented for First Reading at the October 26, 2026 Board meeting.

Media Thank You to Cocalico

Mrs. Marley shared that she received a thank you letter from Jerry Geleff of Jerry Geleff Media, a broadcasting company that covers Muhlenberg sports. In the letter, Mr. Geleff thanked the district staff and Athletic Director Roger Czerwinski for their kindness, courtesy, and efforts to make their visit at Cocalico’s home football game against Muhlenberg High School a pleasure. Mrs. Marley read this excerpt from the letter: “We at JG Media look forward to our next visit to Cocalico, due to the culture that exists in your school district. That doesn’t exist everywhere. You have something special.”

Athletics EAGLE Pillars

Mrs. Marley shared that the athletics department rolled out its 5 EAGLE Pillars on August 19, 2026:

E - Effort -Control your work ethic and daily habits
A - Attitude - Your mindset impacts everyone around you
G - Grit - Great leaders persevere through adversity
L - Leadership - Leadership is influence through service and example
E - Excellence - Excellence is a daily standard, not a destination

She said the pillars reinforce that education-based athletics is about using sport to build character and teach life skills, something that needs to happen through creating an environment where our student-athletes grow as people, not just players.

To keep these standards front-of-mind, Roger Czerwinski, athletic director, is visiting practices and giving tangible tokens featuring the EAGLE pillars to coaches to keep with them at practice, during games, at community service projects, or during team-building events.
