Clubs/Activities
Through participation in activities such as Model UN and Mock Trial, students learn analytical and reasoning skills and focus on making sound judgements.
STEM Summit
Each year, freshmen participate in a day of learning about STEM careers. Sponsored by Junior Achievement of South Central PA, the STEM Summit employs many volunteers to guide students through hands-on activities and to offer advice on how students can pursue careers in STEM-related fields.
Makerspaces
The newly-renovated library with multiple makerspaces encourages students to explore 3-D printing, one-button recording, robotics, computer programming, and many other creative, hands-on activities.
Coursework
Although all high school course curricula encourage problem-solving and critical thinking, a few courses take these skills to an even higher level. These courses include Advanced Placement classes, computer science, Project Lead the Way engineering coursework, and courses involving lab work such as chemistry, biology, and anatomy/physiology.
