Dr. Stephen A. Melnyk has been part of Cocalico School District since 2000. He began his career at Cocalico as an 8th grade Communication Arts teacher and served the district as a team leader and department chair for grades 6-8. In 2004, he moved into administration and served as the assistant principal and later, principal of Cocalico Middle School.

Dr. Melnyk provides leadership to instructional technology, school counseling, safety, athletics, and health services.  His experience in district leadership will help him address a variety of new mandates in these areas.

Dr. Beth Haldeman joined the central office staff following 19 years as an elementary principal in the Cocalico School District. She served as principal at Schoeneck Elementary, Denver Elementary, and most recently, at Reamstown Elementary. 

Dr. Haldeman provides oversight to all facets of curriculum and instruction including state standards, textbooks, enrichment, and state/local assessments. In addition, she oversees library services, professional development, special services, and academic supports. Her many years of experience as an administrator in the Cocalico School District enables her to maintain the high quality of Cocalico’s educational programs. 

Dr. Haldeman resides in Stevens with her husband and three daughters.
