School Resource Officer

Officer Eric Fisher

Officer Eric Fisher was appointed as the School Resource Officer (SRO) in January 2019. By definition, an SRO is a career law enforcement officer with sworn authority deployed by an employing police department or agency in a community-oriented policing assignment to work in collaboration with one or more schools. Officer Fisher works in all 5 buildings, with priority given to Cocalico High School and Cocalico Middle School.

Officer Fisher has been an officer with the East Cocalico Township Police Department (ECPD) for over 13 years. While working for the ECPD, Officer Fisher had a myriad of responsibilities and certifications, some of which included the following: Police Mountain Bike Patrol, Lancaster County DUI Task Force, South Central Task Force Strike Team, Youth Aid Panel, and National Association of School Resource Officers. Prior to his tenure with East Cocalico Police Department, Officer Fisher was the general manager of a small company, where he worked in sales, daily operations, and customer relations.

Officer Fisher is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University, earning Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration and Biblical Studies. In addition to his work at Philadelphia Biblical University, Officer Fisher was also a graduate of the Montgomery County Community College Police Academy.
