Illness & Injury Guidelines

Health room personnel are responsible for injury and illness occurring in school or on the way to and from school only. The nurse will provide initial evaluation and first aid treatment. Parents will be contacted regarding significant illness or injury. Recommendations will be made for additional evaluation or treatment. If a student needs to be transported to a medical facility, the parent will be expected to make the necessary arrangements. If the situation is emergent, arrangements will be made with local emergency services for transport via ambulance to the nearest treatment facility (at parent's expense).
