ARP - ESSER Funding - 7% Set Aside Programs

Cocalico’s 3 year proposed plan for use of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief- 7% Set Aside Programs Grant breaks down into the following three areas:

1. Comprehensive Learning Loss

30% Requirement to Address the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs of Students:  Pay a portion of the Student Assistance Program (SAP) contract for the 2022-2023 school year

10% Requirement to Provide Professional Development to Staff to Address the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs of Students:  Pay for summer inservice days and training for staff related to the Student Assistance Program (SAP), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), Responsive Classrooms, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and other summer days related to the above topics (Summer of 2022 and 2023)

8% Requirement to Address Reading Remediation and Improvement for Students:  Pay for a portion of the contract for the Language Live program, which is used with Middle School students with IEP’s (2022-2023 school year)

52% of the Funds Used to Address Learning Loss:  Secure additional substitute coverage to ensure we can maintain quality, in-person instruction when the assigned teacher is absent (November 30, 2021- last day of school in June 2022)*


2. After School Tutoring:

Middle School After School Sessions:  Pay for tutoring, supplies, and transportation* (2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years)

Elementary Science Explorers:  Sponsor students representing various subgroups to attend the elementary program (2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years)*


3. Summer School Enrichment:

HS Credit Recovery Program (Summer 2022 and 2023)

ESL 4-week Summer Camp- Pay for tutoring and books for the students- (Summer 2022 and 2023)*

High School Tutoring Program (Summer 2022 and 2023)

Middle School Tutoring Program (Summer 2022 and 2023)

Online Elementary Tutoring Program:  For incoming 1st through 5th grade students (Summer 2022 and 2023)*
